It’s time to crank up the heat after watching Blood of My Blood episode 105.
Ingredients:
- 12 medium fresh jalapeños
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12-24 slices of thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- pinch of salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Directions:
- Heat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Fill each jalapeño half generously with cream cheese mixture but don’t overfill.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with bacon. You may have to trim to fit and/or use toothpicks to secure.
- Place on a rimmed baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and browned. Check half-ways through the cook time and rotate.
- Let poppers cool for 5 minutes before eating.
